The radiator is typically installed in front of the engine and the fan and pressed against the rear part of the grille on the front face, except in cases of models with rear engines. The purpose of increasing heat dissipation area and facilitating the cooling process of coolant.
As a part of the automobile engine water cooling system, consists of three parts: water intake chamber, water discharge chamber, and radiator fins and core.
The radiator should be maintained through the following steps:
1. Park and shut down the car. After cooling of the coolant, open the expansion tank and fill radiator detergent;
2. Start the engine. After the cooling fans begins to work, allow the engine to run for 5–10 minutes in idle state;
3. Shut down the engine again and take down the front bumper. To do this, make sure that all fixing screws are removed, and complete the disassembly procedure gently from both ends to the middle part. Avoid breaking the fastener;
4. After the coolant is completely cooled, drain the detergent together with the coolant, and then add new engine coolant.
