Normally, after a car lock key is pressed, the door lock will only make one click sound. But if it keeps changing its status, what should be done?

Persistent click of a car door lock after locking:

This phenomenon is probably caused by internal damage of the central lock. If such noise only occurs in one door, the anti-theft lock cylinder of that door may have failed. If it occurs in all doors, the door lock motor control power switch has experienced a common failure. Since adjustment of the door lock is realized with the car’s BCM automatic control system, you can load the internal fault codes of BCM at a 4S store to solve the problem. Generally, BCM damage will also interfere with normal function of the power switch of the trunk.

How to deal with a door lock that keeps changing its status?

First, you need to check whether the door is completely closed. If this is not the case, complete locking of the door may be impossible, and the lock may change its status repeatedly as a result. Second, if water ingress occurred in the interior of the door lock before, it is necessary to check whether there is corrosion inside. In the case of corrosion, the lock cylinder must be disassembled, cleaned with paint remover, and then sprayed with grease. Besides, damage to the door lock electronic control system may also cause the same phenomenon.
