Leakage of water seal on an auto water pump is a common fault. The leakage is typically caused by poor sealing of the water seal, which can be handled by the car user with the following method:
1. If the water seal of the water pump is not tightly sealed and causes slight water leakage without serious wear, a piece of sand cloth may be laid on a level plane to polish the water seal surface until it is suitable for further use.
2. The bakelite water seal can be turned upside down and re-assembled to stop leakage. Note: The contact surface between the water seal and the pump body shall be polished to ensure its sealing performance.
If the thrust rubber ring is damaged, swollen, or deformed, of if the spring fails to provide insufficient force or has broken, it must be replaced with a new part.
