Symptoms of a broken electronic fuel pump:
1. Completely damaged: A completely broken gasoline pump is not able to feed fuel. As a result, the fuel delivery system fails, preventing the car from starting.
2. Partially damaged: If the check valve of the gasoline pump is broken, no remaining pressure will be present. Consequently, the fuel will not reach specified pressure level, and the atomization process will be greatly affected. The driver will find it hard to start the car, and repeated ignition may be required.
A worn centrifugal pump impeller can lead to reduced fuel supply pressure. The sound of normal gasoline pump operation can’t be heard. Acceleration will be difficult due to lack of fuel. In addition, there will be abnormal buzz during drives.
Mechanical failures such as jamming of rotor: The working current of the fuel pump will become higher, and cause damage to relays or fuses.
3. The engine fault indicator lights up and the engine jitters abnormally.
